NSPE specializes in unique high voltage applications including
production, prototype development, engineered HV systems and HV
build-to-print. NSPE offers our customers an array of value-added
services: component and system installation, maintenance, training
and consulting. We use computational modeling, repetitive testing
and a rigorous quality assurance program to design and deliver DC,
pulsed high voltage, and high power systems on time and to spec.
To meet technical goals for our customers, North Star integrates complementary technologies. In that way we arrive at a new architecture, and are able to build HV power supplies that meet reliability and size requirements not achievable by commercially available products.
For example, North Star built a prototype system offering 30 kW of bipolar high voltage power in approximately one-half the volume of the nearest commercial module. Another innovative North Star power supply produced voltages of up to 100 kV and demonstrated average powers of 20 kW in a volume of only 1.1 cubic feet.
Our innovative technology deviates from the current art as it uses a custom air-core resonant transformer,
compact IGBT o Mosfet modules, and the application of unique electrical engineering circuits that react to microsecond output transits that would otherwise destroy most HV power supplies.
North Star will quote custom and semi-custom applications with requirements that deviate from standard product lines. Specifications and performance figures are subject to change without notice. Please contact us with your requirements or application needs to receive a quotation.

North Star has engineered a series of high voltage DC power supplies that not only meet size requirements not achievable by commercially available products, but eliminate problems like over voltage, over current, fast transients and self-protection.
