Formulary

North Star Power Engineering’s (NSPE) Formulary is a great memory aid for the experienced pulse power engineer. Those less experienced in the field will use it as a valuable reference for pulse power facts that have been gathered and provided in a single, easy-to-access document.

A great deal of pulse power work involves the evaluation of distinct approaches to a problem, and a guide such as this is intended to help speed the calculations required to choose a design approach.

This Formulary contains formulas which are "laws of nature." These include information such as circuit equations, and well-established conventions such as the color code and mechanical data. The formulas have been intentionally left in their original form, allowing the Formulary to not replace, but to enhance the user's memory.

The Formulary also includes dynamic data represented by sections on electricity and magnetism, materials properties, diagnostics and more.
